Non-Traditional Instruction Information as Winter Approaches

Posted Date: 11/13/24 (3:00 PM)

As we approach winter months and winter weather, we want to inform and remind parents, caregivers, and students about the district's use and expectations of NTI.

What is NTI?

NTI stands for Non-Traditional Instruction and is a statewide program. Districts are allotted ten days of Non-Traditional Instruction to be used to continue learning if all schools need to be closed for health or safety reasons.

What to Expect...

Assignments will be communicated through Canvas, Google Classroom, or Schoology. (Elementary students may have some “paper-pencil” assignments.) Your student will need to complete the assignments and turn them in to their teacher within three instructional days following the NTI day. On NTI days, teachers are on call, ready to respond to ParentSquare/StudentSquare messages and emails during regular school hours. In addition, if your student would like to meet with their teacher virtually, all teachers will have live Google Meet office hours from 10:00 - 11:00 AM and 1:00 - 2:00 PM.

Further information will come as needed from your student's school.
