⭐️ WCPS Welcomes Dr. Jason Gribbins as the District's New Director of Finance ⭐️

WOODFORD COUNTY, Ky. —  Woodford County Public Schools is pleased to announce that Dr. Jason Gribbins has been hired as the Director of Finance for the district. Dr. Gribbins brings extensive leadership experience across higher education, K–12, and the military, including vocational and technical education. He currently serves as the Director of Evaluation at Western Governors University (WGU), leading evaluation teams that support over 58,000 students in the School of Technology.

As a Communications Electronics Technician in the U.S. Marine Corps, Dr. Gribbins developed a strong foundation in leadership, operations, and education. Throughout his military service, he held multiple leadership roles and served as a technical and vocational instructor. He also held senior executive leadership positions, including those in the Marine Corps Communications Electronics School. He has served in higher education as an adjunct professor as well as in an executive role for PK–12 education. He managed operations, gained experience in administration, and participated in budgeting and financial planning initiatives.

Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Gribbins has built a strong foundation of academic excellence throughout his career. He earned various technical and vocational achievements while in the military. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BSBA) in 2005 and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance in 2007 from Touro University. He later completed a Master of Arts in Christian Leadership (MA) at Liberty University in 2010, followed by an Education Specialist (Ed.S) degree in 2012. Most recently, Dr. Gribbins earned his Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) from the University of the Cumberlands.

Dr. Gribbins and his wife, Chrissie, reside in Lawrenceburg and are the proud parents of three children, Mason, Jacob, and Emma. Dr. Gribbins expresses his enthusiasm for his upcoming role by saying, “I am excited to join an outstanding team and work alongside school leaders and the community to build upon the strong tradition of student excellence in Woodford County.”
